The SmartPool has a self supporting structure that minimizes the use of concrete otherwise required in the construction of conventional swimming pools. It is constructed of a strong advanced composite tub, similar to the marine grade material and strength used in the construction of yachts and vessels. It is light, all-weatherproof, extremely robust, strong and durable.

The SmartPool Arena which measures 4.5m x 2.4m is capable of supporting a fluid weight of over 12000kg while the dry weight of the structure itself is only 350kg.

Surface technology
The surface finishing of the SmartPool uses FGI Australia’s Aquaguard Gelcoat technology tested and proven to prevent the formation of algae for easy, hassle-free and low cost of maintenance.

Laminar Propulsion System
Powered by a 7.5 horsepower motor from Hitachi Japan, the uniquely designed and patented Laminar Propulsion System (LPS) is capable of moving up to 30,000 litres of water per minute at low pressure to create a non-turbulent, bubble-free, smooth flow and fully speed-adjustable swimming treadmill suitable for beginners to serious athletes.

The SmartPool PowerLap meanwhile, makes this technology portable. Its “plug & play” feature makes it capable of being easily fitted to any existing swimming pool transforming it into an aquatic/swimming treadmill.

UV-C Ionizer – Swim chlorine-free
No more pungent smell of chlorine, and irritated eyes and skin are a thing of the past! The SmartPools UV-C Ionizer ensures safe, environmentally-friendly and crystal clear swimming water free of chemicals. The UV-C Ionizer cleans water by applying copper electrolysis combined with UV-C radiation. As water flows through the ionizer, minimal amounts of copper are discharged creating a positive charge in the water to destroy the cell wall of bacteria, viruses and other pathogenic organisms. The UV-C light meanwhile, emits UV-C radiation that destroys the DNA of bacteria and micro organisms.

Solar thermal water heater and temperature regulator
In the pursuit of renewable energy source, SmartPools turns to solar thermal technology to help maintain and regulate water temperature. This new-age heating technology will extend phenomenal savings, cutting electricity use by a staggering 97% from the approximate use of 18kW that would otherwise be consumed by a conventional heater to about 0.5kW by way of harnessing energy from the sun.

A light-weight parabolic structure made of composite materials and lined with a 93% reflective silver film, – the first of its kind not to use mirrors – powered by a small motor and combined with sophisticated software management will enable the device to track and harness the sun’s heat throughout the day. Advanced electronics and sensors then set and regulate the temperature according to the individual’s preference.
